As a big SEGA fan, I’ve always wondered why SEGA released so many versions of the Genesis, especially since there’s minimal difference in image quality between them. It seems to me that SEGA could have focused on creating a single Genesis model and improving its sound quality instead. In contrast, the SNES only had European/Japanese and American versions, all of which apparently had consistent image quality. I’m not a fan of the fact that SEGA created 3 different Genesis versions with only slight variations in image quality.

Well i’m lucky to find that..

The OG had the headphone jack and you could even control the volume from the system. That was revolutionary to me. Because these games definitely sound better with headphones.

That's still a model 1, it's called The Stinker because of the cheaper audio chip. It's the version paired with Sonic 1, needed lots produced because of Sonics popularity popularity.

See what was awesome about those days is that not everyone was in to Video Games, so like It was awesome when someone outside of your Youthful Perspective was hooked along side you, and enabled you LOL! So my Uncle had a Sega Saturn when he was younger, I used to play Panzer Dragoon on it, Die Hard Arcade and some other games I can't remember. Ok so flash forward some Years and I'm 12, my cousin is 8, and we are the Biggest Xbox Nut Cases anyone has ever seen! More than that, My Uncle was making websites, which at the time were referred to as Web Domains 😂 so he was very interested in Technology and stuff. So when he heard of the Xbox, and that Microsoft developed it, he became interested in it. So for us as kids this is one of the best experiences ever in life! Me and my cousin are talking his ear off of Xbox, He responds with telling us about Windows Operating System, we reply with They Making More Than Windows Now Tio! 😂😂😂😂😂 We show him Halo and it was a Wrap!!!!! Every other weekend we would get together and throw down on some Halo FFA... And then he did the stuff the best Uncles do, Finds a way to Elevate our Gaming Experience. So he invited us to his house, Like this man has a family, Wife and Daughter 😂😂 he invites us over when no one is home like we are about to Conduct a Occult Ritual 😂😂😂😂 Xbox in a Backpack, Controllers, Games, and he has his entertainment system kinda broken down, like the cabinets were open, and cables were laying around. It's because this mother F****er was moving his Stereo System around so when we got there, he was going to have us hook up th Audio cables from the Xbox to th Stereo. Dudes. That was 2001. I'm 35 Now, Since that day I have never in my life NOT Played with Surround Sound or some sort of 2.1 System. LOL!!! Hia Wife came home that day, him on the couch, me and my cousin cross legged sitting on the floor, and his wife goes... You're Playing Nintendo? LMFAO!!!!! 😂😂😂😂🤯 I know all of that had nothing to do with Sega Dreamcast Directly, but it does because the 90s in to the mid 2000's people operated in the same way. The idea that people in their Prime Years of 25 into their 30s like the guy in the clip there still playing Video Games was something to be ashamed of as a Adult Male. So people had to hide their passions as they got older, something I and everyone today doesn't really understand because we didn't fully grow up that way. As a millennial only a handful of High School years made it so that you didn't want to flant the Gamer Look or Lifestyle but you were still a kid and Gamed but it wasn't your Identity. That's absolutely nothing like today! So the scene sparked such a great memory, and an analysis on how things have changed. That same uncle also ended up giving me a Router because in a Tips N Tricks Magazine I learned about System Linking. LAN PARTIES YA'LL LAN PARTIES HALO 1!!!!!!!!
